Hey everyone,

I wanted to share some insights into the current trends in QA tools and technologies for 2025. I did some research comparing the job requirements from 2024 to 2025, and there are some interesting patterns I noticed. For example, Selenium is still the king of automation tools, increasing from 80% in 2024 to 85% in 2025. It seems like more companies are standardizing on Selenium. Appium and Playwright are also on the rise, both jumping from 50% to 55%. RestAssured and Cypress continue to be popular for API and web testing, moving up from 80% and 70% to 85% and 75%, respectively. Allure, JUnit, and TestNG are still solid choices, but they’ve only seen slight growth. Below you can see the full table.

Monitoring Tools 📺

DataDog and Sentry are slowly gaining ground, each seeing a 5% increase. It looks like more QA roles are requiring knowledge of monitoring tools.

Certifications & Methodologies 📈

ISTQB certification is becoming a bit more desirable, moving from 50% to 55%. AWS Certified and ITIL v4 are also on the radar but still not as common, each increasing to 25%.
Agile/Scrum methodologies are a must, maintaining at 100%. It’s clear that understanding Agile practices is essential for any QA role these days.

Overall, the trend shows a steady increase in the use of automation tools and CI/CD integrations.
